My top favorite album of theirs back in 2014. Any U2 fan would tell you that this is their greatest album they've done, because you've got songs like: Song For Someone, Iris (Hold Me Close), and Cedarwood Road (just to name a few). Bono took the lyrics more down to earth in this album, but bringing up God in the last song called The Troubles. For me this album is one of Bono's finest work (lyric wise), that I've loved since Joshua Tree. Music is just up there that matches the lyrics. Even Bono's said himself in Iris (Hold Me Close) he didn't think the lyrics were right with the punk rock phase, but the music is so beautiful, that he let it go. Just before the release of this album, Bono wanted to take that song off, because of that. Luckily he didn't. That song fitted well with the album, as well as the concert. My favorite songs from it are:
The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)
Song For Someone
Iris (Hold Me Close)
Raised By Wolves
This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
The Troubles
