Music update

It's been a long time! Really since then I've had a flood and lost all my music cd's and dvd's, so it's really hard to keep this blog up to date. I went through Hurricane Harvey and lost almost all of my cd's and dvd's except for my Fall Out Boy dvd's. I guess I can showcase those, however that's it though. Since then I haven't really bought anything music related except for downloading them. I actually prefer to download rather than purchasing the cd's. It's less clogged so when you move you don't have to box up a lot of stuff. I will do the ones I have so I hope I don't repeat and if I do I'm sorry. After that I don't know maybe I'll do digital music so I think I'll do that after the new ones.

Tears For Fears Scenes From A Big Chair

The movie on the tour of their second album. I like this dvd, it shows them doing a promo in Japan, performing some songs in the states, along with a photo session. THey also do interviews, and videos of their singles for Songs From The Big Chair. 

Duran Duran - Pop Trash

Not my favorite album, but I only like the singles. The rest of the album is ok, but I do need to listen to it again. I do like the artwork for the album, though.

Duran Duran - Night Versions

Not what I would call a remix album, but ok. Yeah that's what this album is basically a load of remixes that I don't even like. I need to get this back to my sister. 

Duran Duran - Greatest Hits (DVD)

Even the DVD doesn't have My Own Way nor Lonely In Your Nightmare, not even as easter eggs (bonus). I like their other videos, too, but I just miss those two that I've said, it's hard to find except for YouTube. I love the easter eggs in this one, interview about Wild Boys, interview about the album Liberty, plus many more that you have to fish for. Yeah this made this dvd hard to find the bonus stuff.

Duran Duran - Decade

The first greatest hits CD they made. I kinda don't like how they do greatest hits because they always cut out My Own Way, and Lonely In Your Nightmare, are those not singles? I just don't understand that. Aside from that I do like how they compile their hits for a greatest hits.

Duran Duran - Live In London (Astronaut)

One of the shows I actually gotten to see in person. It's one of my favorites with Andy Taylor still in the band before he left again. My favorite part was Careless Memories and that cartoon video screen in the background they did for it. That was cool because it was them killing. I also got a shirt from this concert which I regret, but it was the only shirt with the band on it. I don't like it because the band is on the front, and it just says Duran Duran 2005 in the back. That's it, no tour dates nothing.

Duran Duran - Seven And The Ragged Tiger

One of my favorite albums despite the fact it has my least favorite version of The Reflex, but overall it's a great album. I love how they went to like five different countries to make this nine song album. This is sad, though well, in the 80's that is. It's their last studio album with Andy, and Roger in the 80's and 90's. That really upset a lot of fans after Live Aid when they broke apart. 

Duran Duran - Arena/Sing Blue Silver (DVD's)

One is a movie, and the other is the concert, but I can't remember which one was which. The movie one is based on the long version video of Wild Boys. If you've seen that video, you're set! Also the footage they used in the movie is called Barbella (the movie where Duran Duran comes from) which tied in good with the movie I think. In Sing Blue Silver (the blue box) has cardboard pics, and a mini poster and stickers. Area I don't remember what's in it. I love them both, the other dvd has the making of the Arena tour. With interviews, bus fun, etc.

Duran Duran - Arena (CD)

The CD version to the live concert dvd, they did for the around the world tour. I love them, but only adding ten songs (including their single Wild Boys) are on the disc, I wish they added like another five more songs including Wild Boys. How sad, but I will go with it.

Duran Duran - A Diamond In The Mind (deluxe)

My recent bought item of Duran Duran. I love it that I found the deluxe version of this. I never saw this tour live, but the dvd looks good. Deluxe comes with a cd, and 2 dvd's I believe. I suppose I could get up to my room, and go look, but I'm just that lazy. I do like them live, though because they have awesome sets, and great songs of course.

Pet Shop Boys - Interview

Don't ask where this came from, but this is an interview cd that was back in the 80's I think. The disc does have other interviews such as: U2 and INXS to name a few. 

Pet Shop Boys - Bilingual

The album is what it says it is. Neil does sing some Spanish through out the album. I have to give him credit for singing in Spanish, not all singers would incorprate other languages into their words. I've said this before, but that's what makes Neil and Chris unique. I happen to like this album, and I got the cd as a late Christmas gift from Santa Clause. (yes I was/am old enough to still believe in Santa) Also, the music itself is inspired by Spanish, too, when you hear the music. I think it's very creative.

Pet Shop Boys - Behaviour Further Listening

This should be every fan's number album. It is in my book! This album pretty much stands for what PSB are in a lot of ways. I really enjoyed the fact that Neil played some guitar on the b-sides. He plays it on It Must Be Obvious. For me it says that they aren't just a keyboard duo, but they can really play insturments as well. Not that keyboards aren't insturments, but it's nothing like a drum kit, or a guitar (of any sort), nor a flute. I'm proud of them for learning how to play.

Pet Shop Boys - book/pictures

The book is Anually which has very nice pictures in it, the still pictures came from ebay. The concerts were of Performance and Highlights (was a small tour they did back in the 80's). The three little cards on Annually are trivia cards, but I don't remember where it came from. 

Pet Shop Boys - Release

I really like this album. It's a very laid back album. I also enjoyed seeing them just being themselves without wigs, nor dancers/singers in concert that is. I love the way he sings Birthday Boy, but I think any song he sings that low like that means that he's sick. That's exactly why he sung it like that. Being a Neil lover myself I happen to love it when he sings with that sexy voice of his. I think Chris said that somewhere, he admired Neil for going in the studio while being super sick with the flu. That's heart right there, not all singers I know would do that.

Pet Shop Boys - Very

My third favorite album by them. For me this album represents them in the 90's. I love One In A Million (even though they didn't write it either), this album has great songs to hear. I'm not to fond of the orange, but I don't care for the songs. I also love their cover of Go West originally done by The Village People. I love it but I have a friend and they don't like it. I think it's funny how much songs we all like and don't like on each album.

Pet Shop Boys - Montage

Possibly my least favorite show to put on dvd. I loved it live, but on dvd? No it's a big no, no for me. I know a lot of fans feel the same way, too. The way the production put this on dvd must've really liked bright, laser, lightening. Also when they used the effects on it, too, that didn't help out much either. Do what I do just turn it on, and don't stare at the screen while watching it.

Pet Shop Boys - Introspective Further Listening

Another further listening cd, but since this is an album of long songs, it's not one of my favorites. I do only like I'm Not Scared on it, because it's not a remix from a shorter song. That's just how I feel about long/remixed songs. I'll try not to sound so mean, but why is it that PSB has remixes of their own songs when they are dance/pop duo? I mean I see the no need for remixes of their songs. To me it makes no sense at all.

Edit: Their songs are bouncy enough, we don't need to be more bounced out. If we did bounce more our heads and boobs would fall out of ourselves.

Pet Shop Boys - Cubism

One of the less designeable shows, but the giant box provides the set looking cool. This was filmed in Mexico City with the stadium not even sold out, but glad they filmed there. I like this show, because it brought back Heart. I love that song is this show. This concert does come with a commentary. Partly why I love PSB more because on just about everything they have commentary of something. That's what makes them unique, but in the same way I kinda wish that other artists/bands would do the same.
